Terms of Service

The service

ToonForge uses AI to generate comic panels, manga pages, and webtoon strips with consistent characters from the creative content you provide. Generated output is produced automatically and may occasionally contain inaccuracies or artefacts; review it before publishing.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use ToonForge. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized access.

Your content and output ownership

You retain ownership of the scripts, character descriptions, and reference images you provide ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited licence to process Your Content solely to operate the service. Generated panels and pages belong to you. You may use them for personal or commercial purposes subject to these Terms. You represent that you have the right to share what you upload and that it does not infringe third-party rights.

Acceptable use

• Do not upload content you do not have permission to use.
• Do not use ToonForge to generate unlawful, harmful, abusive, or deceptive content.
• Do not reference named artists or studios to mimic their style. Our API enforces a denylist at the boundary; attempts to circumvent it may result in account suspension.
• Do not attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse the service.
• Do not use another person's likeness without their consent.

Credits, subscriptions, and payments

ToonForge uses a credit system. Free accounts receive 10 credits once, after confirming their email address; each email inbox receives the free credits only once, and free use is subject to daily limits. Paid plans (Creator $19/mo, Studio $99/mo) grant additional credits at the start of each billing period; unused monthly credits expire at period end. Purchased credit packs do not expire. One panel costs 1 credit, a new character’s reference sheet 1 credit, a 6-second panel animation 15 credits, and a LoRA training run 100 credits. Credits are taken when the work starts and returned if it fails. A panel that misses its character’s likeness can be redone once for free.

Subscriptions are billed through Stripe on a recurring basis until cancelled. You can manage or cancel via the billing portal at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. Fees and credit packs already paid are not refunded, except under the right of withdrawal below or where the law requires it.

LoRA training (Studio tier)

Studio subscribers may train per-character LoRA adapters once a character has at least 12 approved reference images. Each training run costs 100 credits. The resulting weights are stored in your account and used exclusively for your projects.

Intellectual property

The ToonForge name, software, and design are owned by Nubri GmbH. Style presets use original, internally-named bundles — we do not expose named-artist mimicry. Every export embeds C2PA provenance metadata identifying it as AI-generated.

Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that generated content will be accurate, consistent, or available without interruption. GPU availability and generation times may vary.

Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the Product Liability Act. For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of an essential contractual obligation, limited to the damage typical and foreseeable for this kind of contract.

Termination

You may stop using ToonForge at any time and delete your account on the Billing page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. On termination, your generated content remains accessible for 30 days to allow export.

Right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer, you can withdraw from a paid subscription or a credit pack within 14 days without giving a reason; the 14 days start on the day the contract is made. Tell us clearly by email to info@nubri.co or by letter to Nubri GmbH, Liebenowzeile 22, 12167 Berlin, Germany; you can use the form below, but you don't have to. Sending your notice before the 14 days end is enough.

We refund what you paid within 14 days of receiving your notice, to the payment method you used. Because you asked at checkout for the service to start straight away, you pay for what you used: the share of the billing period up to your withdrawal, or the credits already spent from a pack.

Law

German law applies; if you are a consumer, the protective rules of the country where you live still apply. For merchants, the courts of Berlin have jurisdiction.

Changes

We will tell you about changes to these Terms by email at least 30 days before they apply, and you can cancel before then.
