Terms of Service

The service

ToonForge uses AI to generate comic panels, manga pages, and webtoon strips with consistent characters from the creative content you provide. Generated output is produced automatically and may occasionally contain inaccuracies or artefacts; review it before publishing.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use ToonForge. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized access.

Your content and output ownership

You retain ownership of the scripts, character descriptions, and reference images you provide ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited licence to process Your Content solely to operate the service. Generated panels and pages belong to you. You may use them for personal or commercial purposes subject to these Terms. You represent that you have the right to share what you upload and that it does not infringe third-party rights.

Acceptable use

• Do not upload content you do not have permission to use.
• Do not use ToonForge to generate unlawful, harmful, abusive, or deceptive content.
• Do not reference named artists or studios to mimic their style. Our API enforces a denylist at the boundary; attempts to circumvent it may result in account suspension.
• Do not attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse the service.
• Do not use another person's likeness without their consent.

Credits, subscriptions, and payments

ToonForge uses a credit system. Free accounts receive 20 panels per month. Paid plans (Creator $19/mo, Studio $49/mo) grant additional credits at the start of each billing period; unused monthly credits expire at period end. Purchased credit packs do not expire. You are only charged for panels that pass our identity quality gate.

Subscriptions are billed through Stripe on a recurring basis until cancelled. You can manage or cancel via the billing portal at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

LoRA training (Studio tier)

Studio subscribers may train per-character LoRA adapters once a character has at least 12 approved reference images. Training costs are included in the Studio plan. The resulting weights are stored in your account and used exclusively for your projects.

Intellectual property

The ToonForge name, software, and design are owned by Nubri GmbH. Style presets use original, internally-named bundles — we do not expose named-artist mimicry. Every export embeds C2PA provenance metadata identifying it as AI-generated.

Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that generated content will be accurate, consistent, or available without interruption. GPU availability and generation times may vary.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ToonForge is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Termination

You may stop using ToonForge at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. On termination, your right to use the service ends; your generated content remains accessible for 30 days to allow export.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Berlin, Germany, subject to any mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and notify you by email. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
